Hi, I'm Karen Eland

In 1998, I had a flash of inspiration while watercoloring in a coffeeshop. "If coffee stains things... perhaps I could paint with it"-- and the results were delightful.  But that's another story.  When I moved to Bend, Oregon, home of more breweries per capita than any U.S. city, of course I just had to experiment with beer.  Encouraging results have taken me farther on my journey as an artist, and literally on journeys to London and San Diego and more.
